Mrs. Rhonda Yrene was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and is a 1981 alumni of OLA and a graduate of 1985 Highland High School. She went on to NMSU in Las Cruces, NM for 4 years working towards a Bachelor’s in Education. Rhonda received her Certificate of completion in Early Childhood and taught preschool and has been an EA for a number of years before marrying her highschool sweetheart and raising three children..
Rhonda is from a big golfing family. Her family ran Ladera Golf course for 10 years and her husband of 32 years played college golf at NMSU and played in 13 PGA Tour golf tournaments which includes 4 Phoenix Opens and 3 PGA championships. Rhonda had put her aspirations of becoming a teacher on hold to raise a family and help her husband make it on the PGA Tour.
Mrs. Yrene always had the goal of being a teacher. Joining the team at St. Mary’s as an EA will fulfill her desire to help make a difference in young lives and their education. Rhonda worked as an Administrative Assistant at Bishop McNamara Catholic School in Bourbonnais, IL, and at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School in Albuquerque, NM. Rhonda is looking forward to joining the St. Mary’s team and sharing her faith with this community.
