Sara Sanchez was born and raised in Mesquite, Texas. She moved to Albuquerque to attend school at the University of New Mexico in 2004 where she met her husband. She graduated from UNM in December of 2008 and immediately started her teaching career in Rio Rancho.
Sara married in 2009 and has three children. She started her Masters program in 2010 through the University of Texas at Arlington. She completed the program in 2010 with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics.
After working for ten years in Rio Rancho, Sara became a stay-at-home Mom to support her three children. She missed teaching and interacting with the students. Sara is excited to continue her journey of teaching and influencing young minds.
